God will do what he promised. He is not slow though, as some people think he is. But he has been waiting a long time for you. He does not want anyone to die, but he wants all people to stop their wrong ways. 2 Peter 3:9-11

For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. 1 Timothy 6:8

I am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4

When our ways please the Lord, his promises to us are sure.

Because he lives, all our hopes and fears should be in Thee and of Thee. He came to give us hope, peace, joy, and love, and we are thankful.

“O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see Thee lie, above thy deep and dreamless sleep, the silent stars go by. Yet in thy dark streets shineth, the everlasting light, the hopes and fears of all the years are met in Thee tonight. For Christ is born of Mary and gathered all above, while mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wondering love.” Thank you, Lord!

You will show me the way of life, granting me the JOY of Your presence and the pleasure of living with You forever. Psalm 16:11

Joy to the world! The Lord has come, let Earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room, and Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven, and Heaven and nature sing. Joy to the world, the Lord is come.!

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”

Jesus came into this world to bring us his peace, and the angels sang “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and goodwill to all men”. Yet, every day it seems like we are living on a battlefield, we need to be promoting peace on earth, by being more loving one towards another. If at all possible let us strive this year to live peaceably with all men, for this is God’s will for us.

We are embracing a New Year, let us begin on a positive note.

O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly. If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen.

Let us trust God this year for everything, delighting ourselves in him, being obedient to him, and watch him give us the desires of our hearts. God is able to do what seems impossible to us. Trust and believe!

For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:40

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him. John 3:36

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:18
