Will you come to the fountain?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, what is preventing you from coming boldly to the fountain? Is it past sins, the evil desires of your heart, or is you just pure rebellion against God? We serve a God who is forgiving and kind, a God who is able to wipe the slate clean and give us a brand new start, all we need to do is to just come to the fountain, just one bold step is all we need to take and let God take care of the rest.
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us be washed in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb! Let us lay aside our garments that are stained with sin and be washed in the blood of the Lamb. There is a fountain flowing for the souls unclean, be washed! Let our souls be ready for the mansions bright, O be washed in the blood of the Lamb! Help us Lord to get ready, wash us clean in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb, for Jesus Christ sake we pray. Amen!
Is Jesus our Lord, a Wonderful Savior?
Indeed He is! He takes our burdens away, and He gives us strength for each day, He hides our lives in the depths of His love, and covers us there with His hand. Thank you, Lord!
Do you do whatever your instincts tells you to do?
Be careful, for Scripture warns us, that to do whatever our instincts tells us to do is disastrous. That to do so is earthly, unspiritual and demonic. We are warned that we should hate what is evil and cling to what is good. That we should be Spiritually-minded, so as to discern the things of God.
Who will you trust to deliver you when you are oppressed or in trouble?
I will trust You O Lord, with my whole heart, in times of trouble and oppression I could trust you completely to come to my aide to defend me as with a shield. Therefore, O Lord, no matter how oppressed or troublesome life gets for me I will continually trust you.
How will you spend the hours during this day, to you that the Lord has given?
Will you use it as a time to catch up on chores that you did not complete during the week? My brothers and sisters in Christ, this is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let’s just praise the Lord!
Are you able to give thanks to God no matter what the situation?
This should be easy for us, because God always knows best. The situations that we go through are not meant to hurt us, no matter how difficult they may be. We just need to trust in God and in his great mercy, and know that he already has a plan and a purpose for our lives, but we have to walk in that purpose. So no matter what the situation may be, let us give God thanks.
How do you know that you have been changed?
When God creates a change in you, the things you used to do, you don’t desire to do anymore, the places you used to go, holds no appeal for you anymore, the anger, the jealousy, the course jesting and idle babble, the covetous and contentious dealings don’t entice you anymore. In time, all will see that you have been changed, many will challenge the way you’ve been changed, but tell them that you’ve been changed in the presence of the Lord, that you are not where you used to be, but thankful for where God is leading you. Praise the Lord!
Are you disconsolate, are you desolate this morning?
“Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish, come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel, here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish; earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.”
Are you weeping, are you going through trials and tribulations?
Know that all of this did not come to stay, it came to pass. All that you are going through is but for a moment and it will pass. All of your trials and tribulations were meant to strengthen you, not hurt you, but you must endure, you must persevere, for what you are going through is not uncommon to man, and those who sow in tears will reap in joy, if they do not lose heart. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and believe that he will see you through. Praise the Lord!
