Do you believe that there are benefits to serving the Lord?
Indeed, there are great benefits to serving the Lord. You may have been serving the Lord faithfully for years, and yet, it seems like your payday will never come. Be patient, continue to be faithful, for the Lord promised that he will bring it to pass, he will cause your glory to shine as brightly as the noonday sun, but understand, that your timing is not God’s timing, nor your ways God’s ways. We should continue on in the work of the Lord, to do good to everyone, and in due time, we will reap a bountiful harvest. Praise the Lord!
Would you rather falling into the hands of the Lord, or the hands of man?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, if you know that you have not been doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord, if you know that you have been rejecting God and his word, if you know that you have not been fearing his name, you still have a chance to fall into the hands of the Lord, and allow his goodness and mercy to overshadow you. For if you continue to follow the path that man trods in their evil ways, and you offend them, they will show you no mercy.
Do you have within you a sinful, unbelieving heart that is turning you away from God?
Be careful. The heart is deceitful, see that you are not hardened by the deceitfulness of sin and turn away from God. Plead with Him for mercy. For if you put your hand to the plough and turn back, if you make a decision to follow God and turn again to sin and the evil way, your end thereof will be destruction. Be careful to walk fully in the ways of the Lord, and remain true to him.
Do we still not understand what will happen to us if we continually refuse to walk in God’s ways?
Psalm 81:12-13 says, “But My people did not listen to My voice, and Israel did not obey Me, so I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, to walk in their own devices. Oh, that My people would listen to Me.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, a child left to himself will come to nothing, listen to the voice of your Heavenly Father, walk in his ways and live a life of integrity and you will be blessed. Do not allow the Lord to give you over to the stubbornness of your heart. You can do nothing good in your own strength.
How will you be able to stand strong against the devises of the ungodly?
Psalm 10:2 reminds us that, “In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.” But, King Solomon warns us, “Do not go along with them. Do not set foot on their paths.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, be strong in the Lord, be courageous, for scripture reminds us, that the ungodly will try to bribe you, but that you should keep yourself from following their ways, by meditating on God’s, word so that you may do all that the Lord command you, and you will be blessed. Praise the Lord!
Will you trust in the Lord and do good no matter what?
Commit thy ways to the Lord, Thy works into His hands, and rest on His unchanging Word, as Heaven and earth commands. No matter what you may go through, if you trust in the Lord and do good, his promised blessing is sure. Praise the Lord!
Will you commit yourself this day to walk in the ways of the Lord your God and to fear him?
When we make a covenant with God, to serve him and him, to obey his commandments, to walk in his ways and to fear him, we should honor our commitment to God. For just like a disobedient child dishonors his father by disobeying him and out of love, the father chastises him, so too will our Heavenly Father, because of his love for us will chastens us. Praise the Lord!
How long have you been waiting on the Lord?
It may seem to you like God has forgotten you, like you have been waiting forever for him to answer your prayer. But, many times, God answers our prayers, but it goes unnoticed, because he did not answer in the way we hoped he would. But understand this, your thoughts and mine are not the same as God’s, our ways are not the same as his. God may have answered your prayer, look around you and within you, as you may have asked God to give you a house, but God gave you an apartment. God will only give us what is good for us, and when we are able to handle correctly what he gives to us, and how we handle what we receive will determine how much more God will give to us.(An excerpt from my book PFEL). Praise the Lord!
Are you where God predestined you to be?
Because you were born here, because you grew up here, because your friends are here, does not mean that you have to be here. Come out from among them and go where God predestined for you. Many time we allow ourselves to become stagnant by staying in one place for too long. It’s time to get your feet moving, to go where you were meant to be, to go where you are needed and to do much good in this world.
What have you been facing that you thought would break you?
Yes, many times our struggles seem too much to bear, but when we have faced another day and realize that we made it through, that we are still here, we know that it was not we of ourselves, but through the Lord’s mercy we made it, we are still here. Thank you, Lord!
