“Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart, naught be all else to me, save that Thou art, Thou my best thought, by day or by night, waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.” Thank you, Lord!
“Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise, Thou mine inheritance, now and always, Thou and Thou only first in my heart, High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art. High King of heaven, my victory won, may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s sun, heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my vision, O ruler of all.”
For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do. Romans 7:15
For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. Galatians 5:17
The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight. Proverbs 15:8
“The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices. Samuel declared; “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obedience to His voice? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and attentiveness is better than the fat of rams.”
“Do no sinful action, speak no angry word; you belong to Jesus, children of the Lord.”
“There’s a wicked spirit, watching round you still, and he tries to tempt you to all harm and ill. You are new-born Christians, you must learn to fight, with the bad within you, and to do the right. Christ is your own Master, he is good and true, and his little children must be holy too.”
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14
And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life. Romans 2:16
For by your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned. Matthew 12:37
The tongue also is a fire, a world of wickedness among the parts of the body. It pollutes the whole person, sets the course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:6
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked has little worth. Proverbs 10:20
But I tell you that everyone will have to give an account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. Matthew 12:35
“While man is looking at our outward appearances, God is looking at our hearts.”
Let us not allow what others may say about us to deter us from spreading the good news, because we know full well, that while man is looking at our outward appearances, God is looking at our hearts.
Many of us try so hard to justify our value to ourselves and to others. But you should understand this, that, if you are a Christian, your value has been justified by God, scripture reminds us, that if we have trusted Christ for salvation we are already justified in Him. Amen!
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Romans chapter five reminds us, that we are freely justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, therefore, I will not justify myself before men, because I know that I have already been justified by faith, which is a gift from God. Old things are passed away and I am born again. Praise the Lord!
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? I am leaning on the everlasting arm.”
“What have I to dread, what have I to fear, leaning on the everlasting arms; I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, leaning on the everlasting arms. Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms; leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.”
