Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
“Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word, just to rest upon His promise; just to know, thus saith the Lord. I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee, Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend; and I know that Thou art with me, and will be with me to the end. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him, how I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er, Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus! O, for grace to trust Him more.”
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3
“O God, you have prepared for those who love you, such good things as surpass our understanding. Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises which exceed all that we can desire or ask.” Favorable hear us good Lord, for we are forever grateful for your goodness towards us.
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12
“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord’.Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty, give him a drink, for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
“Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will. I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow Your laws. I will hurry, without delay, to obey Your commands.”
Do not be conformed to this world, do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romand 12:2
Praise our God, all peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard; who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. Psalm 66
“You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs, you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance. Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you, vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.” Help us, Lord, to keep the vows we make to you when we were in trouble and called out to you for help and you heard us.
Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness. Romans 6:13
Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness? Romans 6:16
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1
“ You were bought at a price, therefore glorify God with your body. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. 1 Corinthians 3:10
“My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus Christ, my righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.”
“Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.”
Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Matthew 7:15,16
When I read this passage in Matthew chapter seven, I had to laugh as it just reminded me of the old saying, “Sorry for Maga dog Maga dong turn round and bite you.” Whoever said the Bible does not have all the answers we need for our troubles today, tell them to meditate on it day and night.
Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you. Matthew 7:6
