Lord, plant my feet on higher ground; that is all I am asking you this morning, please, plant my feet on higher ground.

Dear Lord, I know that I am not alone in my struggles, many may be experiencing what I am going through this morning and looking to you for a higher plane. Lord, we are pressing upward everyday yet it seems like we are taking steps backward, because for each new height gained the enemy strikes to bring us down, but, Lord, show us how to keep on praying as we onward go, lift us up and let us stand, by faith on heavens table land, our hearts have no desire to stay, where doubts arise and fears dismay, though some may dwell where those abound, our prayer, our aim, this morning, is higher ground. Thank you Lord!

“Tempted and tried, but, each step I take, my Savior goes before me and with his loving hand he leads the way. Thank you Lord!

Heavenly Father, you see and know my innermost thoughts, there is nothing hidden from you, there is nothing that I could do or say that you do not already know, and this morning Lord, I am facing a situation that I would rather not confront, but I am thankful that I am not alone, I am thankful dear  Lord for these situations that brings me to you in prayer, and keep me on my knees before you,  you have my undivided attention, so I will be still in your presence and wait for you to act, because I know that I cannot do this in my own strength, but I could do this through you who strengthens me. Lord, I want you to lead me and guide me, refresh my mind, please, show me the way. Lord, I am daily living under your guiding hands and your watchful eyes, I want my ways to be pleasing to you, I want you to be in front of me and behind me, please hedge me in this morning in your presence, so that I may see the path you have chosen for me. Lord, not my will, but thine be done. Amen!

God does not always come but he sends help!

If you believe this, or have a story to share of a time when you prayed to God for help and he did not come but sent help, we would like to hear from you. Blog with us today.

“Jesus is the rock in a weary land, a shelter in the time of storm.” So too, dear Lord, show us how to be a rock for someone in a weary land and their shelter in times of storm.

Too often we experience rough times, and we go it alone, afraid to let others know what we are going through, but we pray to God for deliverance. My brothers and sisters in Christ, God does not always come, but he sends help, and many times we are too prideful to accept it. But, as we walk with God, he will position us to serve, to be a rock for someone who is tired, for someone who is trying hard to weather the storms of life. They may not immediately recognize you for who you are, but when they have established the need for Christ through you, you will become their rock in a weary land and their shelter in the time of storm. Let us strive every day to be a beacon of hope for others, for we may be the only Bible some people read, let us strive to be something worth reading, let us be ready, for we do not know when Christ will need us to be a rock for someone in a weary land, or a shelter in a time of storm. Praise the Lord!

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:8

For he satisfies our longing souls with plenty and fills our hungry souls with goodness, but too often we soon forget his works and do not rely on His counsel and lust exceedingly after things of this world, testing God at every turn. Lord, how long will we repay your goodness with our evil deeds? How much more will we test you, before you give us over to our desires? How much more will you forgive us for our evil ways and thoughts? Lord, only you can change our unruly minds, only you could save us from destruction, so lead us in a smooth path, and show us how to give you thanks for your goodness and your wonderful works towards us. Whoever is wise will observe the goodness of the Lord and understand his loving kindness. Thank you Lord!

O, for a faith that will not shrink

Hymns like this one written by William Bathurst, gives me courage along life’s pathway and I just wanted to share it with you this morning. Our faith is constantly being challenged and we must find ways to bolster our faith lest unbelief gains a stronghold on our lives.

“O, for a faith that will not shrink, though pressed by many a foe; that will not waver on the brink of any earthly woe. That will not murmur nor complain, beneath the chastening rod, but in the hour of grief or pain, can lean upon its God. A faith that shines more bright and clear, when tempests rage without, that when in danger knows no fear, in darkness feels no doubt. A faith that keeps the narrow way, till life’s last spark is fled, and with a pure and heavenly ray, lights up a dying bed. Lord, give

“And Abraham was fully convinced, that what God had promised, that he was able to perform, and therefore, it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

How many of you this morning are convinced that whatever you ask of God that he is able to perform?  Many of us have been praying for a long time, and waiting for God to answer favorably seems long and hard. For twelve years I have been praying to God for one thing, and many times, I will admit, that my faith wavered, and I had to remind myself, that God said he would bring it to pass in his own time, and now, I am fully convinced, that God is able to bring it to pass. I’ve been waiting twelve years and it seems like a long time, but Abraham was a hundred years old and still fully convinced, that what God had promised him that he was able to deliver. We read in Romans chapter 4, “And not being weak in faith, Abraham did not consider his own body, already dead, since he was a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb, he did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what he had promised, he was able to perform.” God, give us a faith that will not shrink though pressed by every foe that will not waver on the brink, of any earthly woe. Teach us, Lord, to meekly wait and murmur not, convinced, that whatever you promise that you are able to perform. Keep us strong in the faith, continually giving you all the glory and all the praise, so that it may be accounted to us for righteousness. Thank you, Lord!

God is love! “There is no greater love than this: that a person would lay down his life for the sake of his friends.” But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

We have all looked for love in all the wrong places, and we continue searching for that perfect love, but until we come to understand that God is love, we will continue to search and not find, we will continue to drink from wells which cannot satisfy, and we will continue to be heartbroken time after time. My brothers and sisters in Christ, if you have been searching for love and still cannot find, why not make a commitment today to begin an intimate relationship with God. I can assure, you that once you enter into a relationship with God, he will never let you go, he will never disappoint you, he will satisfy your needs in parched places, he will comfort you, love you, care for you, provide for you, and give you the desires of your heart, and if you are faithful to him, nothing will be able to separate you from God’s love. Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you, and remember, that there is no greater love than what could be found in God. Praise the Lord!

Why do you spend your money for what is not bread and your wages for what does not satisfy? Isaiah 55:2

Listen carefully to me says the Lord, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to me, hear, and your soul shall live, and I will make an everlasting covenant with you. Seek the Lord while he may yet be found, call upon him while he is near, let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, for our God will abundantly pardon.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Pursue what is good, shun all evil that it may be well with you. Praise the Lord!
