What does it mean to fear the Lord?

To fear the Lord is to reverence him, to honor him, to serve him faithfully, to put nothing before him. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

How confident are you this morning in God’s love, mercy and grace?

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord, those who trust him will not lack anything good. Trust in the Lord for all your needs and be confident that he will provide. Thank you, Lord, for this assurance.

Do you sometimes feel like the cross you are carrying is a burden too heavy to bear?

Be of good courage, do not lose heart; God is with you and will strengthen for the journey. Many times we reach the end of the day and we pray and say, Lord, please, let this cross pass from me, I can’t take this anymore, yet when you are awakened the next morning, you are ready to face the world, because while you slept God renewed, he refreshed, you so that you could endure what the day brings forth. Therefore, when we go to bed at night, let us learn to give our troubles to God, and in the morning when we arise, say, Lord, I do not know what this day will bring forth, but please go before me. Thank you, Lord!

We have so much to thank God for, where do we begin?

Dear Lord, every day, you bless us, you shower us with your mercy and grace. You give us so much that we could not dare to ask or deserve. How do we thank you? We will lift you up in praise from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, for you are worthy of all the praise. “Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live, I will praise the Lord, I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Thank you, Lord!

Won’t you join me in praising Jesus all the time in song?

Let’s praise him though our joys, praise him through our sorrows, praise him through the sunshine and praise him through the rain. For God will wipe away our tears and comfort all our fears, for Jesus is a friend of mine and he is your friend too. Thank you, Lord!

What is the desire of your heart? Trust in the Lord, and he will bring it to pass.

The Lord has promised, that if wait patiently on him he will give us the desires of our hearts. The Lord knows what we need and when we need it, therefore, we should learn to wait on him, for he promised that he will give us our fruits in due season. “Wait on the Lord and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land.” Praise the Lord!

Will you take the way of escape that God gives you today?

Many of our downfalls are the direct result of our sinful desires. But the desires alone does not cause us to sin, but, when we indulge in them. God will always provides a way of escape for us before the desire overtakes us. We must learn to look for the lamb in the burning bush.

Will you share your song with someone else today?

You may say, “I cannot sing.” You may think your voice won’t ring; but the words of the song will surely help someone, as you whisper them again and again. Shout it from the rooftop! Shout it in the valley! Hum it from tree top! Sing it merrily! For God gave you that song, to encourage someone, as you travel this pathway of life. (Another Jewel Greer original)

How great is our God? How great is our God? Do you understand how great our God is?

Our God is an awesome God. He does great and unsearchable things, marvelous works that cannot be recounted in order. Oh, taste and see the goodness of the Lord! I will give God thanks and praise from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same. I will tell of all the wonderful things he is doing and continue to do in my life, for what he has done for me no one else was willing or able to do. Thank you, Lord!

How long have you been praying for God to change your situation?

If you believe in the power of prayer and you are confident that prayer will change your situation, be patient, and continue praying, for God is able to do more than you could ever ask or deserve. Keep the faith!
