Do you ever wonder why the wicked seems to be continually prospering, while you who are being faithful is continually in want?

When your wait on God is becoming a weight on you, take comfort in God’s word. “I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a native green tree, yet he passed away and was no more. Therefore, do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of man who brings wicked schemes to pass, but cease from anger and forsake wrath, do not fret, it only causes harm, for evil doers shall be cut off, but those who wait on the Lord, shall inherit the earth.” Praise the Lord!

Is there anything that you can do except the Lord strengthens you?

There is nothing that we can do in our own strength, for it’s the Lord who strengthens us to do all good works for his glory. May we come to know the width, length, depth and height of His love, and be filled with his  goodness, may we come to know that God is able to do exceedingly, abundant, and above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations. Praise the Lord!

Will you sing to the Lord a new song this morning?

Shout with joy all you who are upright in heart, the praise from your lips should be beautiful, the song that you sing should be joyful, for the Lord showers us with His goodness each day, and He indeed deserves all the glory and praise. Sing to the Lord a new song!

Will you magnify the Lord with me this morning?

When you have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord, you will continually exalt him and his praise will be forever on your lips, for the Lord does wonderful things, unsearchable things for us. If we should count them they would be more than the sand on the seashore. Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Where does affliction and trouble come from?

We reap what we sow. When we are disobedient, when we plant evil seeds, the end result is trouble and affliction which does not only hurt the ones who plant the evil seeds, but as we are reminded in Job chapter five, their sparks fly upward and they ignite. We must be careful of the seeds we sow and learn to walk in obedience to God.

Do you ever wonder why people are always mindful of where you have been even though you have left there a long time ago?

Their aim is to shame you; I don’t know about you, but, glory be to God for the places I have been and the things I have done, for through grace and by faith God delivered me from those places and things, and I go there no more nor do them anymore. I have moved on and will keeping moving on in the strength of the Lord. I will never be ashamed of where I have been, I will continually tell others my story so that they could understand, that the same God who saved me, could save them too. So your reminders are no longer hidden shame, but success stories. Praise the Lord!

What could we do to make somebody happy today?

We cannot make anyone else happy, if we ourselves are not happy. So first, let us be joyful in the Lord, be content with such things as we have, and the little that we have will be more than enough, to make somebody happy today.

If God is your salvation, why are you afraid?

Many of us claim that the Lord has become our salvation, yet we are afraid, our hearts tremble at the first sign of trouble, we are faithless in the time of storm, but if we truly accept the Lord as our salvation we will trust him with our whole hearts and not be afraid, we will draw water from the wellspring of life, which will sustain us in troubled times. Praise the Lord!
