Are you a tale-bearer or a peace-maker?

Proverbs chapter 20 verse 19 reminds us, that a gossip betrays a confidence; therefore, anyone who talks too much and spreads gossip is a tale-bearer and should be avoided. Proverbs 26 chapter 20 reminds us, that where there is no wood the fire goes out. Therefore, if we are peace-makers we would allow the embers to die down, rather than fanning the flames. Praise the Lord!

Are you an example to others through your works?

Scripture reminds us to set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity; that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good, and, that, we should speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel and not as those trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. Praise the Lord!

Are you bowed down this morning? Are you looking to the Lord expectantly?

He said “Call on me and I will answer, open your mouth wide and I fill it with good things.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, God cannot lie, his promises are true. If you believe in him, praise his name always. For what he has done for you before, he is able to do much more, therefore, trust in the Lord and wait on him, he will bless with his gracious favor. Thank you Lord!

Will you praise the Lord this morning with me?

Lord, you said, “Let the saints be joyful, let them sing aloud on their beds, let the praises of God be in their mouth”, therefore, we are joyful in you, we are singing loud your praises, your praise is continually in our mouth, we will bless you oh Lord, at all times, because you are worthy to be praised. Praise the Lord!

Is God’s grace sufficient for you this morning?

If you are convinced that God’s grace is sufficient for you gladly boast in your infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon you. Take pleasure in infirmities, in distresses, in needs, in persecutions for Christ sake, for when you have God’s grace which is sufficient to see you through all this, you could say with confidence that when you are weak you are still strong in the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Are you ashamed to preach the word of Christ?

There are many who are ashamed of the Gospel, they preach the word when it’s convenient, they changes God’s words to please the undoctrined, but know that God’s word will stand forever, no matter how we may try to change them in accordance with our desires. If we are ashamed of the Gospel of Christ which we were called to preach, if we mislead others, God will be ashamed of us. Therefore, preach the word in season and out of season, so that those who do not know Christ will come to know Him. Praise the Lord.

Are you not satisfied with the things God has blessed you with?

Know that all that God has given to us are gifts to use to bring him honor and glory. The more we use these gifts to bring him honor and glory the more blessing he will bestow on us. Let us not be like David who even though he had so much he had a covetous heart towards Uriah’s wife, and he stepped out of God way to take her and God brought much trouble on him from within his own house. My brothers and sisters in Christ, God is merciful, but we should never provoke him to anger, for it is a bad thing to fall into the hands of the Lord, he will deal with us justly. Help us Lord, to be satisfied with such things as you have given to us.

Will you arise, and shine, in acceptance that your light has come?

“The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you, but the Lord will be to you and everlasting light and your God your glory. Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself, for the Lord will be your everlasting light and the days of your mourning shall be ended.” Praise the Lord.

Will you seek God in fervent prayer and allow him to lead you?

If you are weary and heavy-laden with sin, come to Jesus Christ. Seek him now. This is the gospel call; Whosoever will, let him come! All who those who come will receive rest as Christ’s gift, and obtain peace and comfort in their hearts.

Will you seek the Lord while he may yet be found?

Our God is a merciful God, though he afflict us he will pardon us. There is no sin that he cannot forgive, there is no wickedness that he cannot undo, let us therefore trust in the Lord, and let him be our refuge and our strength. Let us forsake our evil ways and return to him, for the Lord is good and his goodness endures to all generations. Praise the Lord!
