Lord, I am so thankful for the cross, for Calvary, for your bloodshed for me who is so unworthy; it means so much to me. So, whenever I am lonely, whenever I am weary, whenever I am burdened, whenever I am guilt-ridden; I will look to the cross of Jesus and be comforted. Thank you, Lord!

“Beneath the cross of Jesus, I fain would take my stand, the shadow of a mighty rock within a weary land; a home within the wilderness, a rest upon the way, from the burning of the noontide heat, and the burden of the day. Upon that cross of Jesus mine eye at times can see, the very dying form of One
who suffered there for me; and from my stricken heart with tears, two wonders I confess: the wonders of redeeming love and my unworthiness.” Oh glory be to God!

“Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and pits, through a land of drought and the shadow of death, through a land that no one crossed, and where no one dwelt?” God did!

Have you ever just felt like you could not give God enough praise? It’s an overwhelming experience and I have been in this place more times that I could count. Our God is an awesome God; we crucify Him over and over again, yet, in His steadfast mercy, in His abundant love for us, He forgive us. It’s time for all of us to acknowledge where the Lord God brought us from, the wildernesses, the deserts, the pits, in our dry seasons and from the shadow of death and give Him some praise. Thank you, Lord!

Christ is risen! We serve a risen and ascended Lord, He is alive, and because He lives we can face all of our tomorrows without fear. Praise the Lord!

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus, He came to love, heal and forgive, He lived and died, to buy my pardon, an empty grave is there to prove, my Savior lives. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives, all fear is gone, because I know, He holds the future, and life is worthwhile living just because He lives. Thank you, Lord!

Easter Message – He is Risen! The Lord is risen indeed!

Is this a story you are ashamed to tell? The Lord is risen indeed! For many of us, Easter is a time of great rejoicing, because we are celebrating the risen and ascended Lord. This same Jesus, who died on the cross so that we could claim salvation, is risen. Death could not hold him, the tomb could not restrain him, He arose, Alleluia Christ arose. So then, why are you not spreading the good news? Why are you not gloriously arrayed like the lilies? Have you no recollection of what Jesus has done; the shame, the agony, the reproach that he bore for our sake? My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us spread the good news of Easter, let us share the meaning of Easter to those who do not know. Let us explain to our children why we celebrate Easter. During the 40-day period of Lent in preparation for Easter, many of us fasted in one way or the other, but the mission was the same. We all were in need of a spiritual cleansing; we repented of our sins, we asked God to help us in our weaknesses, to turn us away from evil, to free us from pride and anxiety, gossip, wrangling, backbiting, covetousness, evil clamor and so much more. But, will we now revert to our old ways? My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must never put our hands to the plough and turn back. There is nothing in our past lives that could be more enticing that the plans God has before us. Old things are passed away and you are born again. Walk in the newness of life. Keep the cross of Christ always before you to lead you and to guide in his way.

Would you be free from your burden of sin? Because of Jesus’ death at Calvary, would you be free?

There was much blood shed at Calvary and there is power in that blood it has all the cleansing that we need. There is wonder working power in that blood. Would you be free? My brothers and sisters in Christ, would you be free from your passion and pride, would you over evil the victory win? You and I are able to claim that life giving wonder working power in the blood. Come for a cleansing at Calvary’s side! Come, Jesus is waiting for you. What is hindering your cleansing? Cast it all aside and be free.

Lord, when I think of all that you have done for me, when I think of your goodness towards me, I am overwhelmed; and Lord, when I feel this way, please, always lead me to the Rock that is higher and greater than I.

No one else, no one else, could have made this ultimate sacrifice for the atonement of all the wrongs I have done. Let me always be mindful of the cross, of Calvary, and of your awesome love, mercy, and forgiveness. Thank you, Lord! They mocked you, they scorned you, the spat upon you, they divided your clothing and cast lots for them, then they disowned you; they said, we have no King but Caesar, then they delivered you to be crucified. “And He bearing His cross went out to Golgatha where they crucified Him. They pierced His hands and His feet and nailed Him to a cross. What love! What Amazing Love! “Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown? No!

We are down to the final days of Lent, today is Holy Thursday and I am checking in with you. Have you been praying, fasting or giving?

Let us continue to foster closer a closer relationship with God through meaningful prayer, by self-examination, repentance, and by meditating faithfully on his word. Let us consider our ways and return to the Lord. Let us be mindful of the wrongs we have done and ask God for forgiveness. Let us love one another as Christ loves us, and be open to lifting others up more than ourselves. Our God is an awesome God. He is more ready to hear us than we are to pray.

Not to be strong in the battle, not to the swift is the race, yet to the true and faithful, victory is promised through grace. Lord, your promises are sure, thanks for saving me by your grace.

Conquering now and still to conquer, rideth a King in His might, leading the host of all the faithful into the midst of the fight; see them with courage advancing, clad in their brilliant array, shouting the name of their Leader, hear them exultingly say: “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, hosanna in the highest.” Conquering now and still to conquer; Who is this wonderful King? Whence are the armies which He leadeth, while of His glory they sing? He is our Lord and Redeemer, Savior and Monarch divine; they are the stars that forever, bright in His kingdom will shine. Praise the Lord!

Today is Palm Sunday which marks the beginning of the Holy Week of Lent, when Jesus triumphantly arrival in Jerusalem on a donkey

The people of the Hebrews with palms before you went; our praise and prayer and anthems before you we present. All glory, laud, and honor to you, Redeemer, King, to whom the lips of children made sweet hosannas ring. You are the King of Israel and David’s royal Son, now in the Lord’s name coming, the King and Blessed One. To you before your passion they sang their hymns of praise; to you, now high exalted, our melody we raise. As you received their praises, accept the prayers we bring, for you delight in goodness, O good and gracious King! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna, in the highest!”

“I’m sitting in His presence, the sunshine on His face while with adoring wonder, His blessings I retrace.”

“Jesus the very thought of Thee, with sweetness fills the breast, but sweeter far thy face to see and in thy presence rest. Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame, nor can the memory find, a sweeter sound than thy blessed name, O Savior of mankind. Oh hope of every contrite heart, the joy of all the meek. Top those who fall how kind thou art, how good to those who seek. And those who find thee, find a bliss, nor tongue nor pen can show, the love of Jesus, what it is, none but his loved ones know. Jesus our only joy be thou, as thou our prize will be, Jesus be thou our glory now, and through eternity.”
