Get ready! The King is coming. “The marketplace is empty, no more traffic in the streets, all the builders’ tools are silent, no more time to harvest wheat, busy housewives cease their labors, in the courtroom no debate, work on earth is all suspended, as the King comes through the gate.” Could you imagine that!

“O the King is coming! The King is coming! I just heard the trumpets sounding, and now His face I see. Praise God, He’s coming for me. Happy faces line the hallways, those whose lives have been redeemed, broken homes that He has mended, those from prison He has freed, little children and the aged, hand in hand stand all aglow, who were crippled, broken, ruined, clad in garments white as snow. I can hear the chariots rumble, I can see the marching throng, the flurry of God’s trumpets, spells the end of sin and wrong, regal robes are now unfolding, heaven’s grandstand’s all in place, heaven’s choir now assembled, start to sing “Amazing Grace”.  I don’t about you, but I want to be a part of all this.”

“You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect. Prepare ye the way of the Lord!”

“For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come. My brothers and sisters in Christ, scripture reminds us, that, if the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So, keep watch at all times, and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Watch out, then, because you do not know what day your Lord will come. Matthew 25:13

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. 1 Thessalonians 4-7

“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who remains awake and clothed, so that he should not walk naked and they might see his shame. Revelation 15:16

“But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds on watch when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve and will have them recline at the table, and he himself will come and wait on them.”

Therefore, the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. Make no mistake, the Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake and mine. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. Consider also, that our Lord’s patience brings salvation.”

And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 40:5

“Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; I will guide them on unfamiliar paths. I will turn darkness into light before them, and rough places into level ground. These things I will do for them, and I will not forsake them. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places; I will do this, so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.” Praise the Lord!

Lazarus was sick, so his two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick. But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” John 11:3-4

Have you ever felt so sick that you thought you were going to die? Many of us have been there but we lived to tell the story. Was it because of anything good that we did? Absolutely not! We were healed so that we could tell someone else what God has done for you and give him the glory.

Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews, came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.” John 3:2

My brothers and sisters in Christ, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you too will be healed. The same Jesus who was sent by God, who was healing the sick, making the lame to walk, the dumb to talk, and the blind to see; is still performing miracles among us today, but you must believe.  We are being healed all for the glory of God, so that those who do not believe could come to believe. Nicodemus came to the realization that Jesus was only able to perform miracles because God was with him. God is with us! Believe!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. Mark 16:17-19

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. For if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures reminds us; “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news! Romans 10:14-16
