I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Galatians 3:2

Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the Law, or because you hear and believe? My brothers and sisters in Christ, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful? Certainly not! Romans 3:3-4

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent. Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or, hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Let God be true and every man a liar.” Praise the Lord!

For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you. For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true; and you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you. 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5

Many messengers are sent by God to deliver to us the Gospel of Truth, and Scripture reminds us that, we should accept it as the True Word of God. “And we continually thank God, that in receiving the word of God from us, you did not accept it as the word of men, but as the true word of God; the word now at work in you who believe. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. So, you, by receiving the message with joy from the Holy Spirit, in spite of the severe suffering it brought you; in this way, you have imitated both us and the Lord, and as a result, you have become an example to all the believers.”

Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of us be deemed to have fallen short of it. Hebrews 4:1

For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it. Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: So, I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’ Hebrews 4:2-3

“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame. For Christ is the head of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for Israel, is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God, for Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law. The man who does those things shall live by them.”

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon him, for whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 9:12-13

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we all have an obligation to  share the gospel of peace to all, for Scripture reminds us in Romans chapter nine, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of hose who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things?”

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name only is exalted, His splendor is over earth and heaven. Psalm 148:13

“Hallelujah! Praise the Lord from the heaven, praise him in the heights, praise him all you angels of his, praise him all ye hosts, praise him sun and moon, praise him all you shining stars, praise him heaven of heavens and you waters above the heavens; let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He made them stand fast forever and ever, he gave them a law which shall not pass away. Praise the Lord!”

“My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.”

“When darkness hides His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. His oath, His covenant, His blood, support me in the whelming flood, when all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay. When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found, dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.”

“Master speak Thy servant heareth, waiting for Thy gracious word; longing for the voice that cheereth, Master let it now be heard. I am listening Lord for Thee, what has Thou to say to me?”

Often through my heart is pealing, many another voice than Thine, many an unwilled echo stealing, from the walls of this Thy shrine. Let Thy longed-for accents fall; Master, speak! and silence all. Master, speak! though least and lowest, Let me not unheard depart; Master, speak! for oh, Thou knowest   All the yearnings of my heart. Knowest all its truest need; speak! and make me blest indeed. Master, speak! and make me ready, when Thy voice is truly heard, with obedience glad and steady, still to follow every word. I am listening, Lord, for Thee: Master, speak, oh, speak to me! Speak to me by name, O Master,  let me know it is to me; speak, that I may follow faster, with a step more firm and free, where the Shepherd leads the flock, in the shadow of the Rock!
