May Your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen Your precepts. Psalm 119:173

I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said, “You are My servant.” I have chosen and not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:9:10

But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

“If serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, you and I have chosen to serve the Lord, we have made a decision to follow him. Therefore, we should rid ourselves of all foreign gods among us, and incline our hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel. We must not let our hearts be drawn to any evil thing, or take part in works of wickedness with men who do iniquity; nor feast on their delicacies. For we have inclined our hearts to perform His statutes, even to the very end, we will serve the Lord!

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips. Psalm 141:3

Lord, too many times we speak out of turn, we utter words that we cannot take back, we are not mindful of the how our words affect others; but Lord, teach us how to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and ever slower to get angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Set a guard, O Lord, over our mouths; keep watch at the door of our lips. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life. Proverbs 4:23

“The heart of the wise man instructs his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips. Therefore, let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving and only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen.”

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. Matthew 12:35

“You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure. But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”

For God will bring every deed into judgment, along with every hidden thing, whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known. This will come to pass on that day when God will judge men’s secrets through Christ Jesus, as proclaimed by my gospel.”

Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. John 3:20

“Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them. Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them.”

We must aspire to please God, whether we are here in this body or away from it, therefore, let us test and prove what pleases the Lord.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:12

Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him. Colossians 2:6

Heavenly Father, we pray that you may fill us with the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that we may live lives worthy of you, and pleasing you in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing more and more in the knowledge of You.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3

“Walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. Count all things as loss compared to the surpassing excellence of knowing Christ Jesus; for God has given us everything we need for living a godly life; knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly affection, love, and kindness. Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things and continue to grow in them, you will never stumble; they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
