Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy, for in You my soul takes refuge. In the shadow of Your wings I will take shelter until the danger has passed. Psalm 57:1

He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart. Psalm 139:17

How precious is Your loving-kindness, O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. Psalm 36:7

“You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings.”

O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Psalm 86:5

“O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance. I will make known the Lord’s loving devotion and His praiseworthy acts, because of all the Lord has done for us, even the many good things He has done for the house of Israel according to His compassion and the abundance of His loving devotion. Lord, You are good, and You do what is good; teach me Your statutes.”

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:11

Have you ever received a blessing that you knew without a doubt was from God? How did you respond? Sometimes we even forget to say thank you.

Sometimes our troubles are so overwhelming, that even though  we have prayed to God to help us, when he hears and answers our prayers, our  thankfulness only extends to sighs of relief. Lord, us teach us how to focus on you, instead of our problems, so that when help comes from you, O Lord, we will immediately know how to give you thanks and praise.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 6:18

Many of us only know how to give God thanks when things are good, but we should learn to thank God in good times and bad, in seasons of plenty and in seasons of need. If we know how to thank God in good times, we should be even more ready to thank God in times of testing, for scripture reminds us, that, the testing of our faith develops endurance. Therefore, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Lord, this week, your greatness has been on display. We have seen the sudden destruction that could so easily come upon us, but you in your mercy, even while we are under the workings of your hands, still show us how much you care. Thank you, Lord!

“O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds thy hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee! How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art!”

Lord, we do not thank you enough, gives us grateful, thankful, hearts always.

“Praise to the Lord, the Almighty the King of creation! O my soul praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation. All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near, join me in glad adoration. Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth. Shelters thee under His wings He so gently sustaineth. Hast thou not seen, how thy longings have been, granted in what He ordaineth. Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee. Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder a new, what the Almighty can do, if with His love He be friend thee. Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him. All that hath life and breath come now with praises before Him. Let the A -men sound from His people again gladly forever adore Him.”

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. In that wonderful day you will sing, “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! Isaiah 12:4-5

“With joy I draw from out of God’s well, rich blessings day by day, with living waters springing up I find beside the way. The blessings that flow out of this deep well, makes fruitful life abound, a watered garden in the soul, where’er this well is found.” Thank you, Lord

“Oh, eyes that are weary and hearts that are sore, look upon Jesus and sorrow no more, the light of his countenance shines ever so bright, that on earth as in heaven, there need be no light.” Keep the faith my brothers and sisters, trust God who is able.

“There is never a day so dreary, that God cannot make bright, and unto the soul that trusts him, he gives a song in the night. There is never a path so hidden, that God won’t lead the way, if we would only seek him, and patiently wait and pray. There is never a cross so heavy, but his nail-scarred hands are there, outstretched in tender compassion, the burden to help us bear. There is never a heart so broken, that the loving Lord can’t heal, for the heart that was pierced on Calvary, does still for his loved-ones feel.” Amen!
