Oh, how I love your law, all the day long it is in my mind. Your commandment has made me wiser than my enemies and it is always with me. Psalm 119:97-98

Because I study your commandments oh God, “I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your decrees are my study. I am wiser than the elders, because I observe your commandments. I restrain my feet from every evil way, that I may keep your word. I do not shrink from your judgments, because you yourself has taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, they are sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your commandments, I gain understanding, therefore I hate every lying way.”

Jesus told his disciples a parable in Luke chapter eight about their need to pray always and not to lose heart. God is saying the same thing to us today, to keep praying and not to lose heart.

What have you been praying for, that the wait seems overbearing? My brothers and sisters in Christ, prayer changes everything! Persistent prayer changes everything! We just need to understand, that God’s timing is not our own timing, but that he hears and answers every prayer. Therefore, do not lose heart, have faith, just continue to delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Lord, when you show me the path I should go, give me grace to follow.

How many times have we received directions from God, but allowed others to put doubt in our hearts, and cause us to lose our way? My brothers and sister in Christ, when God gives us directives, we need to understand, that, whatever he has called us to do, that he has already equipped us to do it. Just trust God, because we can do nothing in our own strength, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

And my God shall supply all of my needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things, I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” But one thing I am confident of, is that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, my God who has promised to supply all of my needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Therefore my brothers and sisters in Christ, we are reminded in James 1: 2, to count it all joy when we go through various trials knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance, and to let endurance have its perfect result, so that we may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. We have to endure our struggles and let God work his purpose.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, God is saying the same thing to you and I this morning, be strong and courageous, my grace is sufficient for you, my power will be perfected through your weakness. Amen!

“I am not worthy Holy Lord, that Thou should come to me, speak but the word, one gracious word, can set the sinner free.”

“I am not worthy; cold and bare, the lodging of my soul. How can Thou deign to enter there? Lord, speak, and make me whole. I am not worthy; yet, my God. How can I say Thee nay? Thee, who didst give Thy flesh and blood, my ransom price to pay? O come in this sweet morning hour, feed me with food divine; and fill with all Thy love and power, this worthless heart of mine.

Our God is awesome! He deserves all the glory and praise.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, too many times we call out to God to help us, to be merciful, but when he answers, we forget, just like the other nine lepers who were healed, but did not return to God to say thanks.  I don’t know who I am talking to this morning, but if you were healed, if you were delivered, if you were made whole by God’s amazing grace; it’s time to return to the Lord, to fall prostrate at his feet and give him thanks. Our God is an awesome God!

Come now and see the wonderful works of God, how wonderful he is in his doing towards all people. Psalm 61:4

Lord, you are good, you are kind, you give us more than we could ask or deserve. Even when we are faithless, you remain faithful. Oh God, continue to show us your loving kindness, and give us grateful, thankful hearts, because what you have done and continue to do for us, is not because of anything good that we have done, but because of your grace so freely given to us. Lord, make me a blessing to someone today!

Great is the Lord, and mighty in power; his understanding is infinite. The Lord lifts up the humble and he casts the wicked to the ground. Psalm 145

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, gracious in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth. Psalm 146
