What is the cross that you are carrying this week? How heavy a burden is it? I want to challenge you as I will challenge myself, to lay down your cross at Jesus’ feet and carry the cross of someone else.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us all aspire to be like Simon of Cyrene, who saw Jesus struggling under the weight of his cross and offered to help. Imagine the relief Jesus felt, if only for a little while. We may not be able to carry the load for someone else all the way to Calvary, but, if only for a little while, we could bring some relief to someone else, I am convinced, that Jesus will take our load and carry it all the way to Calvary. He did it before and he could do it again. “At the cross at the cross where I first saw the light and the burden of my heart rolled away, it was there by faith, I received my sight and now I am happy all the day”.
