Our confidence is our reward. Will we be ashamed before the Son of Man when he comes to judge us?
Jesus said, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God. Let us therefore as children of God, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming, for the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
How firm is your confidence and your hope in Christ Jesus?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, our confidence should be unshakable, our hope should be securely anchored in God, we should hold fast to the confession of our faith without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Therefore, do not lost heart, because through him we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand and we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Praise the Lord!
Are you persuaded? Are you convinced of God’s love for you?
If you are persuaded, then allow nothing to separate you from God’s love. Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand in troubled times. You will suffer persecution, want, need, distresses, trouble, calamity, danger, or the sword, but know, that by God’s grace, you and I will overcome, for we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. Praise the Lord!
How closely are you walking with God?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, many of us say that we are walking with God, but we are still walking in fear. “If you draw near to God, and he will draw nearer to you. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. But, as for me God’s presence is all that I need, I will put my trust in the Lord, so that I may tell of all his wondrous works.”
The Lord’s prayer is our guide. Are we obediently following it?
Oh Lord, you are my Father in Heaven and I will hallow your Name in heaven and on earth, so that your will may be done. Lord, give me today my daily bread and forgive me for all of my trespasses and show me how to forgive those who trespass against me. Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen!
Are you walking in darkness or walking in God’s marvelous light?
“If we claim to have fellowship with God and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. Jesus said, I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. Therefore, believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”
When God blesses us with his grace, how gracious are we towards each other?
Lord, for the many times you have showered us with your grace, show us how to be gracious to others. Lord, we have been unlovely, but you still love us, teach us how to love one another. Lord, we have been sick and you healed us, show us how to have compassion on those who are hurting. Lord, you have provided for us, instill in us the will to be kind to help those less fortunate. Lord, may we always remember that a blessing shared is a blessing multiplied. Thank you, Lord!
This is the day that the Lord has made, will you rejoice and be glad in it?
Lord, show us how to begin this day with rejoicing and with praise to you on our lips. Show us how to magnify and glorify your precious name in all we do and say. Lord, you have made all thing new this morning, the blessings that abound, your grace that is so refreshing, let us just glorify your holy name. Thank you, Lord!
Have you been wandering far away from the fold of God? It’s time to come home.
“I’ve wandered far away from God, now I’m coming home; the paths of sin too long I’ve trod, Lord, I’m coming home, never more to roam, open wide Thine arms of love, for I am coming home. I’ve wastes many precious years, now, I am coming home, I now repent with bitter tears, Lord, I’m coming home, I am tired of sin and straying Lord, I am coming home, my soul is sick, my heart is sore, I am coming home, I’ll trust Thy love and believe Thy word, I am coming home.” Receive me Lord!
Do you still not understand how faithful and awesome our God is?
“Come and sing the love of the Lord! How faithful is He! He will hold our lives in His heart, through all eternity. For His greatness, for his power, for His care every hour, we give glory! We give praise! O the wonder of His ways! Come and sing the love of the Lord! How faithful, how awesome is He!”
