Lord, give us grateful, thankful, hearts always.

“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth. Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, God does so much for us, yet, we still grumble and complain. We never stop to give God thanks for what he has already done, but find time to complain about what we don’t have. We test the Lord at every turn; but, how long will he put up with our ungratefulness? How long will we continue on in our rebellious ways, failing to trust God? The time has come for us to take a stand for God, to prepare our hearts to follow him faithfully, and let us never forget to tell the generation to come, the praises of the Lord, and His strength, and the wondrous works that He has done.

Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially, that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God, for no one understands him; but, he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 1 Corinthians 14:1-3

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies, edifies the church. If I come to you speaking in tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying or by teaching? Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue, words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? Therefore, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel; for it you pray in a tongue, your spirit prays, but your understanding is unfruitful. I would rather speak five words with my understanding that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue that no one understands.”

“I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your decrees are my study. I am wiser than the elders, because I observe Your commandments.”

“As for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Through your commandments Lord, I gain understanding, therefore I hate every lying way. I restrain my feet from every evil way that I may keep Your word. I do not shrink from Your judgments because You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste! They are sweeter than honey to my mouth.”

Oh, how I love Your law, all the day long it is in my mind. Your commandment has made me wiser than my enemies, and it is always with me. Psalm 119:97-98

“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly urge you to proclaim the message, be persistent, whether the time is favorable or unfavorable, convince, rebuke, encourage, and be of the utmost patience in teaching. For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but having itchy ears, they will accumulate for themselves, teachers to suit their own desires, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away. But, for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, and carry out your ministry.”

“Dismiss me not from Thy service Lord, but train me for Thy will, for even I, in fields so broad, some duties may fulfil; and I will ask for no reward, except to serve Thee still.”

“Lord, speak to me, that I may speak, in living echoes of Thy tone, as Thou hast sought so let me seek, Thy erring children, lost and lone. Oh, lead me Lord, that I may lead, the wandering and the wavering feet, Oh feed me Lord, that I may feed, Thy hungering ones with manna sweet. Oh, strengthen me that while I stand, firm on the Rock and strong in Thee, I may stretch out a loving hand, to wrestler with the troubled sea. Lord dismiss me not from Thy service, but train me for Thy will. ”

“O my God, you have taught me from my youth and to this day I declare your wondrous works, now also when I am old and gray-headed O God, do not forsake me until I declare your strength to this generation.”

His name shall endure forever, his name shall continue as long as the sun and men shall be blessed by him; all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel who only does wondrous things and blessed be his name forever and let the whole earth be filled with his glory,. Amen and Amen! Psalm 72

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalm 103:1-2

“Who forgives all your iniquities? Who heals all your diseases? Who redeems your life from destruction? Who crowns your life with loving-kindness and tender mercies? Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles’? The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and of great mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our deeds. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!”

“O Master, let me walk with Thee, in lowly paths of service free; tell me Thy secret; help me bear, the strain of toil, the fret of care.” Lord, only You know what we go through each day, help us to endure.

Lord, in times to trials, give me a heart like Thine. “Help me the slow of heart to move, by some clear, winning word of love; teach me the wayward feet to stay, and guide them in the homeward way. Teach me Thy patience, still with Thee, in closer, dearer company, in work that keeps faith sweet and strong, in trust that triumphs over wrong. In hope that sends a shining ray, far down the future’s broad’ning way; in peace that only Thou canst give, with Thee, O Master, let me live.” Thank you, Lord!

Hear my prayer O Lord, and let my cry come unto You. Do not hide Your face from me, in the day of my trouble. Incline Your ear to me in the day that I call and answer me speedily. Psalm 102: 1-2

“Lord, let Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your word to Your servant. Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for Your law is my delight. Let the proud be ashamed, for they have treated me wrongfully, but I will meditate on Your precepts. Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes, that I may not be ashamed.”

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. Ephesians 5:11-12

“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed, and those who persist in sin should be rebuked in front of everyone, so that the others will stand in fear of sin.”
