“Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised!”

The lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:8-9

Have mercy on me Oh God!

“Cast me not away from Your presence; and take not Your holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation; and uphold me with Your free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors Your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto You. Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth Your praise.”

The Lord is always more willing to hear us than we are to pray and ask for help.

Lord, let all those who seek You rejoice, and be glad in You. Let such as love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!” For You are our helper and in You we put our trust. Deliver us good Lord!

If God’s law is within our hearts, we will delight in doing His will.

Lord, keep Your law in our hearts, so that we may delight in doing Your will. Lord, You continually surround us with Your loving-kindness, You do not withhold Your tender mercies from us; therefore, give us grateful hearts that will sing Your praises, hearts that are willing to go out and proclaim Your good news of righteousness and declare Your faithfulness and Your salvation. Amen!

Do you present yourselves as slaves of sin or instruments of righteousness to God?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we have a choice; we could present ourselves as slaves of sin which leads to death, or we could present ourselves as instruments of righteousness to God. We are not under law but under grace, and that is why when we were slaves of sin we were free in regard to righteousness; and whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Praise the Lord!

Are our sins too grievous for the Lord to forgive?

O Lord, our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us; but, we understand, that, Your hand is not shortened that it cannot save, nor Your ear too heavy that it cannot hear us. We will repent and return to You, and we are confident that You will abundantly pardon. Thank You, Lord!

Will you continue to covet what is your neighbor’s?

Psalm 37:25 I have been young and now I am old, yet, I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread. Why? Because our God is our provider, or God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us, but, we need to wait patiently on the Lord, and he will give us the desires of our hearts so we need not covet what is our neighbor’s.

Why wait thou O burdened soul, when Jesus will make you whole?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Give up all to God’s control; He is calling thee gently to give Him thou thy heart. Why do you wait? Why don’t you believe? That Jesus is the Life, the Truth, the Way. Come to him now don’t delay, He is waiting to make you whole.”

Lord, I can say with confidence, that I am next in line for my blessing.

When you see others being blessed around you, don’t be angry or jealous, wait on the Lord. You do not know just how long that person has been patiently waiting. Many times our prayers are speedily answered and other times, it seems like we are waiting in vain. But a thousand years in our sight is like a day in God’s eye when it’s past.

What is it that you have been praying for continually?

If you have been crying out to God day and night and it seems like he has turned a deaf ear, don’t give up. God has promised to grant justice to his children who cry out to him day and night. Therefore, continue to pray. God has his way in the whirlwind and the storm, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, more, that we could ever dare to ask or deserve. Just know that his timing is not our timing and that whenever he chooses to bless us, nothing could be added to it and nothing will be taken away from it. Keep the faith!
