Are we convinced that the Lord our God will fight our battles for us?

Read it for yourselves. God’s promises are written in the Bible for our learning. We must believe that God is able, that God always keeps his promises. Many of us are fighting battles that are not ours. We are burdened and heavy laden, yet we refuse to lay them at the feet of Jesus; we are downtrodden and oppressed, but we look for help from man who will fail us, instead of God who could help us. Let God fight your battles! He is all powerful, God is able, his power and might is unsearchable; and his promises are true. He said that he will never leave us nor forsake us in our time of need. Thank you, Lord!

Why does the Lord correct us when we sin?

Lord, we have sinned against you, time and time again, and we know that it is because of our fear of you that you correct us, and enters into judgment with us,  we know that whom the Lord loves, he corrects, so correct us Lord with justice, be merciful to us and pardon us, so that one day you will delight in us again and make us joyful and restores us to righteousness. Amen!

Do we truly love one another?

We are reminded in Romans chapter twelve, that, “Love does no harm to a neighbor.” Therefore, if we love one another we should not hurt or harm our neighbor, but you may be wondering, “Who is my neighbor?” Your neighbor is your brother or sister, your co-worker your friend, the stranger you meet on the street; therefore, treat everyone with brotherly love; love that is not puffed up or rude, vane or self-serving. If we love one another, we will not put stumbling blocks before them, we will not slander them with our tongues, we will not bear false witness against them, we will not go out of our way to do them harm, and we will not be envious or jealous of them. If we love one another we are fulfilling God’s law.

Do you want to know, to experience what is the good and perfect will of God?

In order that we may be able to know and to experience the perfect will of God, the depths of the riches both of his wisdom and knowledge, we must by his mercies, present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, who will transform us by renewing our minds, so that we may prove what is his good and perfect will. Praise the Lord!

Do you make it a habit to daily direct your prayers to God?

Help us Lord, to make our daily meditation before you a priority, help us Lord to direct our prayers to you, not only for our immediate needs, but, especially for guidance and protection. Lord, help us to trust in you and your faithfulness. Psalm 5 reminds us, “But, let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them forever shout with joy because you defend them, let those who love your name rejoice in you, for you O Lord will bless the righteous, with favor you will surround them like a shield.” Thank you, Lord!

Where is your hope? Who is your help?

Our hope is in the Lord our God and He alone is our help. He satisfies our longings, He is merciful and gracious towards us. Let us continue to trust God in everything, let Him have His way in our lives always, for He alone is our hope and our help. Our mouths shall continually be full of praise for Him and we will bless His name forever. Happy is he who has the Lord of Jacob as his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God who made heaven and earth! Amen!

Could anyone block your blessings from God?

Absolutely not! “That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been.” Whatever God has ordained for you, no one can take it away from you. Only you can block your blessings from God. When we take things out of God’s timing, it will never last. When we go against what God has promised to us, we lose every time. Wait patiently on the Lord, and he will give you your fruits in due season. “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”

Do you know what the Lord require of you?

My brother and sisters in Christ, God requires something of you. But, until you realize what he requires of you, make a promise to serve him faithfully. As we continue to serve God and get more acquainted with him, he will reveal to us just what he requires of us. Learn to be still in God’s presence.

Learn to make peace with what you’ve got!

Lord, you have given us good things and we praise you, sometimes, we receive things that seem not so good for us; but help us to understand that you know what is best for us, that you give us our fruits in due season. When we open our hands you fill them with good things, and therefore, whatever comes from you, it is well with you and therefore, we also should accept it and say, it is well, it is well with our soul. Thank you, Lord!

Have you ever experienced God’s goodness in the whirlwind or the storm?

Too many of us go through the storms of life and God shows up in the midst, but, how many of us actually say, “Thank you, Lord, for riding out this storm with me, or, I could not have pulled through without you.” Too many of us saw the handwriting on the wall, or the footprints in the sand, but, we were so overwhelmed with our situation, that we missed the encounter with God. My brothers and sisters in Christ, know that God shows up in unlikely places, he walks with us through all of our dark hills and valleys, and he rides out the storm with us. Let us be thankful that the Lord showed up when he did, being mindful that he did not have to do this, but he did. Thank you, Lord!
