Will you allow others to convince you that there is no help for you in God?
Many are those who do not trust in the Lord, and will try to convince others that there is no help for them in God. But, we should be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might, because it is God who makes us lie down and sleep in safety, and it’s the Lord or God who sustains us when we are awake; therefore, we will continue to place our confidence in him, we will trust him in all things, because our God is a shield for, he is our glory and the one who lifts up our heads. Thank you, Lord!
Will you lift up your eyes to the Lord and trust him to help you?
Whenever we are in need and call upon the Lord, he has promised to help us and he is a God who cannot lie. I am trusting in the Lord and lifting mine eyes up to him because my help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. How about you?
Are you walking as the light of the world?
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” If then you are a city on a hill full of lights, you cannot be hidden. No matter how many times others try to put out your light, it will arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord is risen upon you, he has already placed his hand on you, he has built you as a strong city on a hill full of lights, so that others could find their way to him. Therefore, let your light shine so that others may see the good works you are doing and give God the glory.
What have you been through that showed you the end was better than the beginning?
Many of us are reluctant to share our testimonies, but, we have been through some fiery trials, that seemed never-ending, but by God’s grace we made it. We were not able to see where or how it was going to end, and it was not for us to see or to know, but, to trust God for a good ending and he will never disappoint us. God is with us through everything that we face.
How great, how great is our God?
Our God is awesome! His greatness is superior over all. So, today Lord, we are acknowledging your greatness, we are lifting you up in praise because you are worthy, we are giving you the honor and glory due your name, because of all the wonderful things that you are doing in our lives. Lord, let everyone who do not know of your greatness, come before you this morning, singing, “How great, how great is our God!
Will you offer before God the sacrifice of thanksgiving?
When we offer before God our sacrifice of thanksgiving, we honor him. Let us continue on being faithful followers who are not ashamed or afraid to give God the honor and glory due his name.
You have been raised with Christ, but are you seeking the things of Christ?
Once we followed the ways of the world, but now, in order to seek the things of Christ, we must try to get rid of all such things – anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive language from our mouths. We must lie to one another, seeing that we have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed ourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator – Jesus Christ.
Are you doing enough to bring others into God’s house?
We must be constantly working to bring others into God’s house, and this does not only mean inviting them to church. It means that we should be telling others how at home we are in our hearts with God, we should be telling others of God’s goodness and mercy and how He had compassion on us; and that He still has compassion left for them too. For while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, He showed his love for us, by dying on the cross, so that all who believe might be saved. Yes, there is room in your heart for God! If you invite Him into your heart, He will make it a home.
Are you surrounded by roadblocks and dead ends?
If you are surrounded by roadblocks and dead ends, ask God to show you the way. When we are in the midst of the storms of life, we are not alone. God is with us, but he wants us to acknowledge him, he wants us to rely on him, to call on him to save us. Will you remember God in the midst of your storm and call on him, or will you allow the storm to so utterly command your focus that you forget God? The roadblocks and dead ends in our lives are obstacles that God will move so that we could give him all the glory and praise.
When the Lord brings you out of your distress, how do you thank him?
Lord, you have been with us in the miry clay, you have been with us in the slimy pit; but now you have delivered us, you have set our feet on a rock and have given us a firm place to stand. What do you want in return? Show us O Lord, how to give you thanks and praise for all that you have done and continue to do for us, continually put a new song in our mouth and a hymn of praise to our God. Amen!
