Will you be pronounced guilty before the Lord, because of the evil that dwells within you?
O Lord, create in us clean hearts and renew right spirits within us, let us not be pronounced guilty by you because of our transgressions. Lord, please lead us always in your righteousness, let nothing that we do be done because of rebelliousness. Lord, we know that you love those who walk in your ways, please lead us in your righteousness. Amen!
Are you confident, that, when you pray; that, the Lord hears you and defends you?
“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in you; let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them; let those also who love your name be joyful in you; for you O Lord will bless the righteous; you will surround him as with a shield.” Thank you, Lord!
Why should we return to the Lord our God?
“Be glad then you children of Zion and rejoice, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has promised that he will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts have eaten, the crawling locusts have consumes, you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you, because you have returned to Him.” Praise the Lord!
When the Master comes, do you want to be called into the fold of believers or numbered with unbelievers?
If we call ourselves Christians, followers of God, we should be constantly doing his will, preparing for the day when He will return. We do not know the hour or the day, but we should all have our lamps trimmed and ready for when the Master comes, for He will judge us according to what we have done. When that time comes we will not want to face the wrath of God, so let’s do all that we can while we can, all for the glory of God.
Do you find yourself praising God over and over again for something that he has done for you?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, when God does something so wonderful for us, our mouths should be filled with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy. We should be not only giving thanks to God, but telling everyone just how awesome our God is. I am constantly singing God praises and some may think of it as boasting, but know that I am only boasting in the Lord, because there is nothing that I could do in my own strength; there is nothing that I could accomplish without God’s help; therefore, the praises that I sing are not for selfish gain, but all for the glory of God. I am sharing my story, so that, someone else could come to understand the goodness of my God and come to depend on Him to realize their dreams also. “The Lord has done great things for me and I am filled with joy.”
Lord, I owe you so much, how could I ever repay you?
Lord, I know how far you have brought me, from sin and shame you sought me, and all through life I’ll praise your name, for Thy great Power Divine. I dare not ask for any more than you have already given, I’ll use the gifts that you have given to secure my place in heaven. Lord, all that you have done for me, I’ll try to pass some on, because I know that someone else, is where I was before. (Another Jewel Greer Original)
How long have you been seeking the Lord?
Lord, for too long we have been wandering in the desert because we lack knowledge and understand of you and your precepts; for too long we have listened to false prophets who misled us, we did not try to hard enough to find you, to learn of your commandments and as a result, we have been afflicted, we hunger and thirst after righteousness, but, today Lord, we are submitting ourselves to you, seeking you; for we now understand, that, the afflicted will eat and be satisfied and those who seek the Lord will praise Him. Lord, let your word live in our hearts forever!
Do you have a hungering or thirsting for God’s word?
Matthew chapter 5 and verse 6 reminds us, that, “God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, and that they will be satisfied.” When David was in the wilderness of Judah, he cried out, “O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, Psalm 107:9 confirms for us, that, the Lord has satisfied the thirsty soul and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good. All you who are thirsty come, you who are hungry, come, and the Lord will bless you and you will be satisfied. Praise the Lord!
Why are we not following the ways of the Lord?
Is it because we do not know right from wrong or good from evil? All of us should be able to know the difference, but, when sin and deception come into our lives, our way gets dark and cloudy, we are no longer able to discern right from wrong or good from evil. Our God is a forgiving God and He promised, that, whatever sins we committed in ignorance will be forgiven. It is never too late to seek the Lord or the things of God.
Will we allow the Lord to bring a case against us because of our lack of knowledge?
We are reminded in Hosea chapter 4 and verse 6, that, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, God is not slack concerning His promises. Let us return to the Lord and faithfully serve Him.
