Let us pray. Dear God, we may not understand the struggles we go through, we may not know what lies ahead, the tempest is raging and the battle is strong, but one thing we could be sure of, is that you, lead your dear children along. Thank you, Lord!
This morning Lord, we come before you, and we may not have the right words to express ourselves, we may put our wants before our needs, but we are thankful, that you, O God, understands our prayers even when we cannot put them into words. This morning Lord, please listen to our hearts, let our cries go up to you as incense and answer us favorably. Lord, we come to you this morning, confident that you already know our needs and that you are able to supply abundantly, all we need to do is to trust you, to go through this day with a prayer and a praise, and allow you to work our purpose out. Help us Lord, to lay aside every burden of our hearts this day, every care, let us cast on you, and go forward in your strength, in Jesus name we pray. Amen!
And whoever of you desire to be first shall be slave of all, for even the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:44-45
Dear God, we pray especially today for the men and women in service for this country, watch over them Lord, as they fight to keep our shores safe. Lord, may their unselfish giving be duly rewarded, for many want to be served, but these brave men and women, many of whom have lost their lives in the service of others, may they be an example for us. Lord, there are so many ways that we could be of service, show us where and when to reach out, humble us, so that we could follow your good example and learn to put others before ourselves, not for fame or fortune, but to bring honor and glory to your name, for in so doing we will reap our just reward. All this we ask in your Holy name. Amen!
Behold, the eyes of the Lord is upon those who fear him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. Psalm 33:18-19
“Oh, fear the Lord all you His saints, there is no want to those who fear Him, the young lions lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek the Lord will not lack anything good.” Trust in the Lord, wait patiently on Him, for all that He promised to do He will. Therefore, our soul will wait for you O Lord, for you are our help and our shield, our heart shall rejoice in you because we trust in your holy name. Let your mercy be upon us O Lord, just as we hope in you.
“Have you not heard? The Creator of the earth neither faints nor is weary, His understanding is unsearchable, He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength.” Praise the Lord!
Thus says the Lord, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away; fear not, for I am with you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Thank you Lord, for your promises which I know are true, you promise that those who wait upon you shall renew their strength, that they will mount up with wings like eagles, that they shall run and not be weary, walk and not faint, so teach me Lord, to wait.
I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High. Psalm 7:17
“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” We call upon your name because of its power and glory, we call upon your name because it heals us, we call upon your name because it saves us; oh, there is no other name like the name of Jesus, there is victory in the name of Jesus, all who believe in His name and call upon Him shall be saved. Let us lift high the name of Jesus, let us sing praises to his name, let us proclaim it to the world, so that at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
“Guide me O, thou Great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land, I am weak but thou art mighty, hold me with thy powerful hand, bread of heaven, feed me ‘till I want no more.”
Almighty and most merciful God, we humbly pray that you will guide us through all the cares of this life, we are trusting in your defense oh God, because we are weak and you are strong, we are trusting you to drive away from us all wrong desires and to show us how to focus on your word. Lord, we will trust in your strength to help us face the situations in our lives which seems daunting to us, we will stand firm knowing that we are not alone, that you are with us. May we never forget you oh God, or be blind to your saving power, but keep walking in your sight, giving you thanks and praise. Lord, we believe that with you, all things are possible, so this morning Lord, anything that seems impossible to us, we know that you have the power to turn it around. So, guide us O, thou Great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land, we are weak but thou art mighty, hold us with thy powerful hand, bread of heaven, bread of heaven, feed us ‘till we want no more, and we pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
“What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.”
Lord, we are so thankful that we have a friend in you, a friend you never changes, a friend who loves us without conditions; and so this morning Lord, we come before you with all of our needs and our cares, because on you we could depend. Lord, we pray this morning that all who seek you early will find you, that you will fill us with your grace, that you will give us hearts to sing your praise. Lord, remove from us all the cares of this life which overshadows our praise for you. Lord, comfort those who mourn, those who are cast down lift up, and make them strong in faith and hope, show them how to give you thanks and praise in the midst of adversity, so that the time of joy will return and peace will abide in their hearts. All this we ask in the mighty name of Jesus, to Him be the glory now and forever. Amen!
We give thanks to you O God, we give you thanks, calling upon your name, and declaring all your wonderful works. Psalm 75:1
Dear Lord, we give you thanks for protecting us through the night hours and for awakening us to this brand new day. Lord, we know not what this day will bring forth, but we are trusting you for guidance, we are trusting you for provisions, and we are trusting you for courage to complete the tasks you set before us. Lord, we know that your goodness and mercy is everlasting, and we give you thanks and praise, we will declare your wonderful works so that others will believe. Lord, you shower us with so much blessings, show us how to use them rightly and to bring you honor and glory. Not our will Lord, but thine be done. Amen!
Scripture was written not to make us fearful, or to put a leash on us, but for guidance and for what is proper, so that we might serve the Lord without distraction.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, God has given us the freedom to choose, to serve Him without fear or shame, or distraction, and to use the Gospel to lead others to Christ. But Scripture warns us, that no one plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit. Even so, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the Gospel should live from the Gospel, but do so in way that will help to win souls for Christ. God has liken His word to food, and he tells us in 1 Corinthians chapter 8, that food does not commend us to Him, for neither if we eat we are better or if we do not eat we are worse; but that we should beware, lest somehow, this liberty of ours become a stumbling block to those who are weak. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be embodied to eat those things offered to idols? And because of your knowledge the weak brother for whom God has died, perished. When you sin against the brethren and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. All of us who are called to preach the Gospel, should present the Gospel without charge, without abusing the authority of the Gospel, we should become a servant to all, to win the more, and that is our reward. Praise the Lord!
Sing praises to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks in remembrance of His holy name, for His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for life. Psalm 30: 4-5
Lord, because your anger towards us is but for a moment and your favor for life, we will bless you, O Lord, at all times, Your praise shall continually be in our mouths, our souls shall make boast of You, the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me this morning, and let us exalt His name for ever. Let us be mindful of all that He has done for us; the many sins He has forgiven, the doors He has opened, the disasters He averted, the diseases He healed, and for His continued guidance and protection from danger. Oh, taste and see this morning that the Lord is good, for many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for me, my soul cries out Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
