“The Lord requires us to love him with all of our heart, with all of our understanding and with all of our strength. He wants us to acknowledge him rather than accepting our burnt offerings. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”

It is a good thing to obey the commandments of the Lord and do them. It is also easier to say that you will walk in them than to do them. But, is it impossible? No! Could we do it? Yes, but with God’s help. We have to lean on God in times when our faith wavers, we have to depend on him when we are lost and confused, we have to be determined to follow God at all cost, because in the end, the rewards of obedience far outweighs the rewards for disobedience. Help us, Lord, to faithfully and carefully obey your commandments, walk in them and do them. Amen!
