My Brothers and sisters in Christ, if ever there was a time for meaningful prayers, it’s now. Let us pray without ceasing for each other and the world.

Prayer changes everything, I am confident of this. Many claim that they do not know how to pray, but we are reminded in Matthew chapter 6, that, when we pray, it’s not about using vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words, it’s about praying in secret that God will reward you openly, for he knows the things we need before we ask of him, and that is why he has taught us to pray in this manner: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 106:1

Lord, we give you thanks this morning, not only because you are good, but because your mercy endures forever. Lord, we are thankful for your blessings this past week, thank you for spared lives, thank you for provisions, but we are especially thankful for those struggles that keeps us on our knees in prayer. Lord, we do not know what this new week will bring forth, but we are confident that you are in control. Lord, you alone know the beginning and the end of all things, and we are trusting you to see us through whatever we may face this week. Lord, we are nothing without you, we can do nothing in our own strength, therefore, we will trust you in all things, knowing that you are all powerful, you are our good God, and we give you all the honor and praise, in Jesus name. Amen!

Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. Colossians 3:9-10

Heavenly Father, all of us who have committed our lives to you, have been renewed in mind, body, and spirit. We have pledged to serve you all the days of our lives. Help us by the way we live, to be example to others, and manifested in what we profess by our faith.

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free? Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”

For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do; those things result in death! Romans 6:20-21

“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

“What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?” My brother and sisters in Christ, be free, by the renewing of your mind.

We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God. So, you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. We know that our old self was crucified with Christ, in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Dear Lord, we thank you for protecting us through this crisis. We know that you are in control of this situation, so we are looking to you for the strength to go on. Lord, to us, this crisis is a burden on all of our resources, but we know that you will provide all that we need to get us through this. Where do we begin to make things right? We are a country in crisis. Lord, we are in need of stability, we are in need of direction, we are in need of guidance on how to move on, and most importantly we are in need of basic commodities, so please send us the right resources to meet our needs. We are confident, that you will provide for your children during these difficult times, and when the dust settles permanently, we would look back and give you thanks and praise, knowing that if it were not for you on our sides, we would not be here. So, thank you, Lord, for this crisis that has kept us on our knees, that has kept us prayerful, vigilant and watchful. (Excerpt from Prayers for Everyday Living)

“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives all fear is gone, because I know He holds the future, and life is worth the living just because He lives.”

“God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus, He came to love, heal and forgive, He lived and died to buy my pardon, an empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives. And then one day, I’ll cross that river, I’ll fight life’s final war with pain, and then as death gives way to vict’ry, I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know he lives.” Thank you, Jesus! Because you live, I could face my tomorrows.

The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:17

Happy Easter! He is Risen! The Lord is Risen Indeed! My brothers and sisters in Christ, this Easter Sunday is one that we will not soon forget. It’s an Easter Sunday like none we have ever witnessed, and hopefully the only one like it. But we may not be able to go to church today, but it will remind us, that the places where we worship are just buildings, we are the church. And as members of God’s church, we are called to serve and to spread the Good News of Salvation, the freedom Christ’s death on the cross secured for us. No matter where we are, my hop,e is that all of us, would be mindful of a good God, who loved us so much, that he spared not his only Son to die for our sins. My hope, is that we would commit and re-commit our lives to God, and be renewed in mind, body, and spirit, to serve him and him only. My brothers and sisters in Christ, let today be a turning point in your life and mine, that we put away from us all evil thoughts and malicious intentions, hatred and envy, jealousy and pride, and embrace the truth of God’s Holy Word, and follow where he leads us. Today, Resurrection Sunday, is a promised reminder, of the love that God has for us, by Jesus’ death and resurrection, that we who believe in the risen and ascended Lord, are more than conquerors. Death could not hold him, the grave could not hold him, HE IS RISEN! THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED! HALLELUJAH!

I called to check on a friend, and during our conversation he said to me, Jewel, I am hoping that all of us would use this time to examine our lives, and whatever we have been doing that is not right to change. He said to me, he is now all about change, because he do not want to leave behind an unfinished task; and he further surprised me, when he began to sing this old song, “I don’t want to leave behind an unfinished task”, and I thought I would share it.

Oh, you have run the race, you have kept the faith, these words I long to hear my Savior say, and when my life on earth is past, there’s just one thing dear Lord I ask, don’t let me leave behind an unfinished task.

If I carry the gospel to the lost, near and far, I won’t stand empty handed at God’s judgement bar, but I dare not relax until I’ve done all he asks, lest I should leave behind, an unfinished task.

If I have wronged a brother, If I have wounded a friend, give me strength Precious Savior to make amends, and when I come to change my worlds, and reach glory at last, then I won’t leave behind an unfinished task.

When I come to the crossing I’ll be leaving behind, all my earthly possessions, but this I won’t mind. It would make my heart glad, when I leave all I’ve had, If I don’t leave behind an unfinished task.
