Who are we? Are we the aroma of death leading to death, or the aroma of life leading to life?
Too many of us start out with all good intentions of being steadfast in Christ, but begin peddling the word of God, and as a result, we are no longer the fragrance of Christ, teaching his good word which leads to renewed life in Christ, but the aroma of death leading to death. We need to conduct ourselves in the world, in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshy wisdom which corrupts, but by the grace of God, which saves us, and others, who look up to us. Then, we will become the fragrance of Christ through which diffuses his knowledge throughout the whole wide world. Praise the Lord!
Are you doubtful of God’s abilities?
Judge not the Lord by your feeble sense, but trust Him for His grace, for behind a frowning providence, God hides a smiling face. My brothers and sisters in Christ, God’s purposes will ripen fast, right before your eyes, they will unfold every hour, so hold on, for right now, the bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower. If you trust in your blind belief you will not see anything good, you will question the works of God, but, know that whatever God is purposing in your life right now, you may not understand it, because God is His own interpreter, and in the right time, He will make it plain. So, take courage, do not be afraid, for the clouds that you so much fear, are big with mercy and will break with blessings on your head. Praise the Lord!
Are we leading others astray by the lives we are living?
Too many of us claim to know God, but our hearts are far from him. But, know that God is not mocked, know that there is nothing hidden from God. When we proclaim to be God’s messengers, we should be delivering good news, we should be walking boldly, blamelessly; our conduct, our character and our conversations should always be acceptable before God. If we are saying one thing and doing another, there are those who will believe that what we are doing must be right, and will follow us, and therefore lose their way. Be careful of the life that you live, if you proclaim to be a messenger of God. It is an awful thing to fall into the hand of God. He assures us, that, “If anyone causes one of these little ones, those who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
Ask, seek and knock, you will find, you will receive, and doors will be opened to you.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, we have not because we ask not or we ask amiss. Let us then trust God for those things that he knows we need and wait for him to pour upon us the abundance of his mercy.
Will the Lord turn his back on you and will not hear you when you cry?
Certainly not! He said, “They shall come with weeping and with supplications I will lead them and cause them to walk by the rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble. For I am a Father to Israel and Ephraim is my first born. Therefore, they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, streaming the goodness of the Lord. Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, and they shall sorrow no more at all.” Praise the Lord!
The Lord has given us this day to rejoice in it. Why are you sad?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, no matter what you are facing today, don’t allow the enemy to steal your joy, REJOICE! If you have pains, praise the Lord through them, you are sad, remind yourself that the joy of the Lord is your strength and draw from Him, you may not have enough to eat this morning, but feed on God’s word.
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart? You, O Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your loving-kindness and Your truth will continually preserve me. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day long. Sacrifices and burnt offerings I will not give to You, but I will obey Your voice because I know You delight in obedience.
Will you serve the Lord in truth with all of your heart?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, there is but one way to serve the Lord, and that is in truth and with all of your heart. God has promised to do great things for us, if we do what is good and what is right. Far be it that He should lie. I have seen the great things that the Lord has done for me, and because I know how it feels when the hand of the Lord is against me, I will serve him in truth and with all of my heart. so that I could experience His goodness.
Is there anything that the Lord has done for you that deserves His praise?
Every day, God abundantly blesses us. He does so many wondrous things, that, if we should count them they would be more than the sand on the seashore. Lord, let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you, and tell the world what you have done. Let those who love your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!”
Do you want to give up or get angry when the Lord blocks your ways?
Scripture tells us, that, “It is good for a man to bear the yoke of his youth. Let him sit alone and keep silent, because God has laid it on him, let him put his mouth in the dust, for there may yet be hope. Be patient, for the Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him, it is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. For the Lord will not cast off forever, though He causes grief, yet He will show compassion, according to the multitude of His mercies, for He does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.”
