Could you continue to praise God even in the midst of your doubts?

“I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.” I will lift you up even as I go through my deepest storms, I will bless you even as doubt assails me. Lord, you promised to put a new song in my mouth, to carry me through everything I face; so I am trusting you to keep your promise and I know that you are not a God who could lie. So, thank you, Lord! Thank you, in advance.

O Lord, how manifold are thy works! Psalm 104:24

For You, O L0rd, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works O Lord, Your thoughts are very deep.  A senseless man has no knowledge, nor does a stupid man understand this. Time and chance happen to all, and in God’s own time. Wait, I say on the Lord!

Does it matter where, or when, or how, you give God thanks and praise?

Certainly not! No matter where we are, or what we are in the midst of, or how we say it, the time is always right to give God thanks and praise. Throughout the day, God gives us so many reasons to be thankful. Just stop right where you are and give God a praise!

Will you stand fast in the faith, be brave and strong in the Lord?

Opposition should never discourage those who are strong in the Lord, for they who are with them are greater and more than those who are against them. God will give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, but, we must be strong and courageous and determined to spread the word of the Lord wherever we go.

How strong are you in the face of opposition?

If we build our foundations on the solid rock of Christ, there is no opposition that could weaken us. God is our rock, and on the solid rock of Christ we will stand, and though stormy gale may blow, though we go through thunderstorms and lightening, though men rise up against us, we will be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, so that we may be able to proudly take a stand for God, and step out in faith, to do his work with fear. Praise the Lord!

Will you be affected by God’s famine or will you be prepared?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, our God is not one who lies, whatever he promised, will come to pass. But, God loves us so much that he is still pleading with us to hang on to his every word, because he knows that in times of famine, in times of trouble, in times of distress that his word will sustain us, he knows that the word will be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, and that his word gives life. So, who has ears to hear the word of the Lord, let him hear!

Will you flee from evil and pursue the things of God?

The things of God are righteous, godly, faithful, lovely, and steadfast. When we commit ourselves to God, we should be daily following after the things of God. But too many of us get carried away because of the lust of the eyes; we covet evil things, we are jealous and angry all the time, we are craving things that will not last. If we want the grace of our Lord to overflow us along with faith and love, we have to commit ourselves to following him daily.

Do you know of anyone this morning who has lost their joy and is so full of grief that they are not able to help themselves?

You and I have a responsibility to not only pray for those who are unsaved, lost or grieving, we could do more to help them, to lead them to the balm of Gilead, to the healing they so desperately need. You and I have encountered the Great Physician, he has applied the balm to our wounds and healed us; let us help our unsaved brothers and sisters to experience the same. The time to begin is now, the place to begin is here.

Will you allow the enemy to turn the good within you to cause you to sin?

“But how can that be? Did the law, which is good, cause my death? Of course not! Sin used what was good to bring about my condemnation to death. So we can see how terrible sin really is. It uses God’s good commands for its own evil purposes. The Law was given so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more.” But because we are knowledgeable of this, should we continue in sin so that grace may increase? Absolutely not! Since when we know the sins that we should not commit because of the Law, let us then not allow sin to have dominion over us.

Should we be friends with an evil brother or sister who walks disorderly?

“Therefore brethren stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or epistle. And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. But, do not count him as an enemy, but, admonish him as a brother. “Too many of us as Christians are afraid to call out our brothers and sisters when they do wrong for fear of losing their friendship; but scripture is warning us to admonish them.
