My brothers and sisters in Christ, if you are seeking the things of God, you are on the right path. When we seek after the things of this world, they will not last; so why waste time for a short time of pleasure, when we could have a lifetime of gain from the Lord. Let today be the day that we begin seeking the things of God, putting nothing before him, and our reward will be richly added.

“Oh Lord, how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. You through your commandments make me wiser than my enemies. My life is continually in my hands, yet, I do not forget your law. The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet, I have not strayed from your precepts. Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined my heart to perform your statutes, forever, to the very end.” Praise the Lord!

Well then, if you are a new creation, you could indeed boast in the Lord. You could tell others all that the Lord has done for you, how he gave himself up for you, boast of his loving-kindness and righteousness on the earth, and let everyone who belongs to Christ Jesus bring him glory, by continually crucifying the flesh with its passions and desires.

Too many of us after have been saved by God, forget about our friends who are lost. We are all shepherds in God’s field and we have be willing to go out in the highways and byways, the wilderness and the desert and try to bring the sheep that was lost back to the fold. You were lost but Jesus found you, now go and find a lost soul to bring back to God so that the angels in heaven will rejoice.

“Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor and an insolent man, I obtained mercy from God because I did it in ignorant belief.” For this reason, when God saves us, he will remove our hearts of stone, our disbelieving heart and give us a new heart to serve him. When God saves us, we should be using it as a testimony to help those who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

If you have been making your own plans and walking in them, it is no wonder that they have failed. Whatever God has planned for us, he said they are to prosper us, therefore, if you are pushing ahead with your own plans and they are failing. STOP! Seek God’s divine wisdom, ask and it shall be given to you, seek not your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge God and he shall direct your path.

“Lead me, guide me, along the way. Lord, if you lead me I cannot stray. Lord, let me walk each day with thee, lead me, O Lord, lead me!”

“Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When you walk your steps will not be hindered; and when you run, you shalt not stumble. Take firm hold of instruction; do not let it go: keep her; for she is thy life. Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Because you have made the Lord who is my refuge, even the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He shall give His angel charge over you, to keep you in all his ways, in their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 91: 9-12

Oh Lord, you are good, all the time you are good! You give us so much more than we could ever ask or deserve. Before we were born, you knew us, and you predestined good things for us. If only we would continually trust you and wait patiently on you to give us our fruits in due season. Teach us Lord to patiently wait for your blessings.
