Many do not see you when you are going through the wilderness, they only see you when your garden begins to flourish. But, you need tell them about your wilderness experience, tell them how you trusted God, when you had nowhere else to turn, how he fed you when you were hungry, healed you when you were sick, carried you when you were too tired to walk, and delivered from those who were too strong for you. I don’t know about you, but my wilderness experience was good for me, for the Lord humbled me. Thank you, Lord!

The Lord is our shepherd and he promised that if we trust him we shall never be in want. Dear Lord, show us how to trust you more, enable us by your grace to believe you for those things which seems impossible to us, to be confident of this, that you will prepare tables before us in the presence of our enemies, Lord, humble us, so that we may be able to sit down and eat of your goodness. Praise the Lord!

As children of light we should always sow the fruit of the Spirit, “for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness and truth, finding out what is acceptable to the Lord, and having no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, understanding what the will of the Lord is.” Praise the Lord!

Certainly not! He neither faints nor is weary, instead he gives power to us who are weak, and to us who have no might he increases strength, all he asks is that we wait patiently on him, and he promised that he will renew our strength, that he will cause us to mount up like eagles, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint. There is no God like our God! Teach us, Lord, to wait!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, no man can serve two masters. You will either love the one, and hate the other. If therefore, you love the things of this world, how could you also love God? If you store up treasures for yourself and is not rich toward God, you would have wasted your time, for when your soul is required of you, where will you spend eternity?

I have seen the goodness of the Lord. He has shown me his marvelous kindness in a strong city, he has blessed me, not according to anything good that I have done, but because I put my trust in him, and he, in his mercy revealed his loving-kindness to me. I am encouraging you this morning to trust God with your whole heart, believe that he is able, lean not to your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths. Praise the Lord!

God has equipped us for every good work; God makes provisions for us, not for us to sow sparingly, but for us to sow bountifully. Go therefore into God’s vineyard and tell the world of God’s goodness and his mercy, so that His word may be planted bountifully in the hearts of many and cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

One song-writer says this so true: “Why should we tarry when Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me, see on the portal he’s waiting and watching, watching for you and for me. Come home, come home, ye who are weary come home, earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, calling O sinner, come home

My brothers and sisters in Christ, what is ahead of you, is greater than what you left behind to follow Christ. Before I gave my life to Christ, the things of this world held me captive and were stumbling blocks in my way to God, but thank God that he rolled them all away and made a smooth path for me to follow him. If then, God delivered me, why should I turn back. God guide me feet in the homeward way each day. Amen!

Lot’s wife was reluctant to give up the world and all its vanity. This is a clear example that no one could force you to give up the world, the decision is yours to make, and when you make that decision, ask God to help you to honor it and he will. My brothers and sisters in Christ, what is ahead of you is greater than what you are leaving behind.
